The undergraduate accounting degree has traditionally been recognized as one of the premier accounting degrees in the country. This recognition continues today. Currently, the BBA accounting program is ranked first in the United States according to U.S. News & World Report (2009).
The objective of the BBA curriculum is to provide students with a broad overall education, solid grounding in the common body of knowledge of business administration, and exposure to accounting in sufficient depth to help them achieve entry-level competence for pursuit of a career in public accounting, government or industry.
Accounting coursework covers:
- the collection, recording, summarizing and interpretation of financial data,
- the uses of accounting data by management,
- the uses of accounting procedures in all phases of financial matters, and
- the uses of computers and other electronic means of handling accounting data.
