  • Identify one or two student organizations to be involved in.

Goals for your third year...

Academic

  • Continue enhancing your educational experiences with activities related to your academic and career goals.
  • Make sure all degree requirements will be completed during your final year.

  • Begin early in the fall to investigate summer internships. Interviewing for summer positions begins early! Search On Campus Recruitment, AccessUT and the McCombs Job Board frequently to find new opportunities and apply.
  • Develop professional network: get out and meet alumni; continue informational interviews in areas of interest.

  • Search On Campus Recruiting, AccessUT and the McCombs Job Board to find new opportunities.
  • Meet with a Career Advisor to develop an independent job search in addition to campus resources.
  • Attend all networking opportunities including the Career Expo, company-sponsored receptions and information sessions.
  • Attend Graduation Station to transition to the workplace.

  • Attend re-entry session after your study abroad experience.
  • Reassess intercultural development experiences and how they relate to your goals.

Leadership

  • Participate in peer mentoring/peer educator programs on campus to help other students develop leadership skills.
  • Participate in community projects or volunteer on campus/around Austin.
