Please be sure to submit your final transcripts to UT Austin before attending Orientation. The Office of Admissions evaluates the courses on your transcript to determine course credit at UT Austin. Please use the following tools to assist in the evaluation process:
Out of State Institutions:
It is important to note that not all courses you take at another institution directly fulfill McCombs degree requirements. You will receive an emailed Secure Academic Note from the McCombs advising team informing you of any course transfer issues. This will be sent to you during the summer prior to orientation. If you are asked to have your courses reevaluated by UT Admissions, you will need to complete a Request for Transfer Coursework Verification.
Courses in which grades lower than C− are earned do not transfer. Grades from transfer credit are excluded from a student's internal UT Austin Grade Point Average (GPA) computation.
In order to apply as a transfer student, you must submit official coursework in the form of a transcript. Please visit the Office of Admissions for detailed about applying and transferring coursework.
