ALEKS Math Assessment

All students planning to take a math course at UT Austin that requires ALEKS Math Assessment as a prerequisite must take the test before you will be allowed to take the course. This includes M 408K or M 408C, the first semester calculus course required to pursue a major in McCombs. You are required to have the specified ALEKS placement score before the 5th class day. ALEKS placement scores will be determined by the College of Natural Sciences soon.

ALEKS Chemistry Assessment

Students planning to take CH 301 at UT Austin must take the ALEKS Chemistry Assessment before they will be allowed to take the course. CH 301 is the first semester Chemistry course for science majors and pre-health professions students.  Please speak to your advisor if you plan to take CH 301. Students are required to have the specified ALEKS placement score before the 5th class day. ALEKS placement scores will be determined by the College of Natural Sciences soon.
