Professionalism is crucial in your career search, and it's just as crucial at the McCombs Diversity Council dinners. The McCombs Diversity Council dinners are formal events, but the atmosphere is relaxed and your goal should be to create relationships with recruiters. Your should focus on gathering information, developing a connections with the recruiters, and above all, obtaining the recruiter’s contact information for future follow-up. You may bring your resume to the dinner, but please do not hand out your resume unless the recruiter specifically asks for it. Please see the BBA Career Services BBA Instructional Guides or make an appointment with a BBA Career Services Career Coach for information on professional etiquette.
Please note that the deadline to cancel your RSVP for the dinner is one week prior to the event. If you do not cancel before this deadline and/or fail to show up for the event, you will be blocked and lose your OCR recruiting privileges. If an emergency situation occurs, please contact the event coordinators immediately to cancel your RSVP. Thank you.
McCombs Diversity Council strives to host events compliant with the state and university risk management policies. For more information about risk management, please view the Risk Management presentation.
