The Forty Acres Scholars Program
The Forty Acres Scholars Program is a new four-year merit scholarship created by the Texas Exes Scholarship Foundation to recruit and recognize exceptional students, enriching their lives and nurturing their development as future leaders at The University of Texas at Austin. A gift to the Forty Acres Scholars Program earmarked for a student in the Texas Business Honors Program will give the McCombs School of Business a competitive advantage in attracting the nation's most talented students.
Creating these scholarships will advance the core purpose of the university: to transform lives for the benefit of society. These students will be encouraged to fully explore their talents and aspirations, understanding that these great opportunities create even greater responsibilities to make the state, nation and world better places. Over the course of their college careers, Forty Acres Scholars will realize their potential using UT's core values as a guide.
All Forty Acres Scholars will receive funding for:
Tuition and mandatory fees
Housing and food
A living stipend
Additional funding for required enrichment activities, a service learning project after the freshman year, study abroad and research/internship.
