St. AndrewsSt. Andrews
You can travel by train to St. Andrews for fairly cheap, and it only takes about an hour. When in St. Andrews, you can visit or even play a game of golf at The Old Course where the British Open is held. Plan to watch the Highland Games where clans converge to compete in games once viewed as war training. For sight-seeing, you should visit the ruins of St. Andrews where the largest cathedral in Scotland once stood. 

North Berwick
North Berwick has two beautiful beaches called East and West beach. There are some businesses along the beach that offer daily boat trips, or you might be able to catch a dinghy racing competition which are held all throughout the summer. There are also many castles to go see; one of the most popular is Tantallon Castle.

Aberdeen
Aberdeen is home to Europe’s largest indoor garden. Go and see a wide variety of exotic plants while enjoying beautiful scenery. Also, be sure to catch a show at His Majesty’s Theatre where you can go to see musicals, plays, dance shows, and much more. Scottish highlands

Scottish Highlands
Home to the beautiful Eilean Donan Castle that once stood guard over Kintail. You can visit any part of the castle and learn all about its history. You can also visit Urquhart Castle, which is along Loch Ness, where you can try and search for the famous Loch Ness Monster. There are many beautiful castles to visit while in the Scottish Highlands.
