Schedule

Program Duration: Five weeks, first summer session (June 10-July 11, 2013).
Eligibility: tMPA and iMPA students with a minimum UT and Accounting GPA of 3.0. Please note, meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee acceptance into the program.
Prerequisites: Successful completion of the following courses by summer of participation:

•  tMPA: ACC381 required; 380k.11 recommended
•  iMPA: ACC355M, ACC356M, ACC358Cm and ACC359

Classes take place Monday-Thursday (usually 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.)

Basics

• International Accounting Policies & Procedures– Taught by UT faculty 
  ACC 380K.19
• Global Management and Accounting – Taught by CUHK faculty 
  MAN 385

Classes usually take place Monday-Thursday (usually 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.). Some afternoon or Friday classes are very likely. Students are strongly urged to refrain from making weekend travel plans until receipt of finalized schedule. Absence from class will not be permitted.

Company Visits

Company visits provide students with a firsthand look at important local industries and business practices. Company visits will vary on a yearly basis. Past company visits include:

• Yantian International Container Terminals
• Midea
• Coca-Cola plant
