The CFT program gathers top McCombs students and offers them the chance to visit companies across the nation that are the respective leaders in their industry. Past CFTs have gone to New York City, Houston, Dallas, and San Francisco. In these cities, students have visited companies such as UBS, Deloitte, Neiman Marcus, the Federal Reserve, the Dallas Mavericks, Ernst & Young, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Boston Consulting Group, and Citigroup. This trip is a great way to learn about business outside of Austin. Upon arrival, the companies provide the students with a tour, lunch, and other aspects that make the company great. CFTs occur through the academic year and spots to attend fill very quickly.

Dallas CFT

The Dallas CFT focuses on the management consulting. It targets the most prestigious companies such as Bain, BCG, Deloitte, and McKinsey & Company. The last event was held during Fall 2011. During the visit, representatives made a short presentation about their company. This was followed by a Q&A session, a tour of the office, and a chance to network/mingle with employees. Each company visit lasts around 2 hours, which allows students to understand the firm's corporate culture and business practices.

Houston CFT

The Houston CFT focuses on the energy industry. It targets the most prestigious companies such as Bank of America Merrill Lynch, ConocoPhillips, Exxon Mobil, and Citi. The last event was held during Fall 2011. During the visit, representatives made a short presentation about their company. This was followed by a Q&A session, a tour of the office, and a chance to network/mingle with employees. Each company visit lasts around 2 hours, which allows students to understand the firm's corporate culture and business practices.

New York CFT

The New York generally focuses on the banking industry. It targets the most prestigious companies such as Morgan Stanley, Jefferies, Greenhill, Evercore Partners, and JP Morgan. The last event was held during Spring 2012. During the visit, representatives made a short presentation about their company. This was followed by a Q&A session, a tour of the office, and a chance to network/mingle with employees. Each company visit lasts around 2 hours, which allows students to understand the firm's corporate culture and business practices.

San Francisco CFT

The San Francisco CFT focuses on the technology indutry. It targets the most prestigious companies such as Google, Oracle, and DreamWorks. The last event was held during Spring 2012. During the visit, representatives made a short presentation about their company. This was followed by a Q&A session, a tour of the office, and a chance to network/mingle with employees. Each company visit lasts around two hours, which allows students to understand the firm's corporate culture and business practices. We were also able to visit the Standford Graduate School of Business for stduents to explore their options post graduation.
