"One of the great advantages of going to McCombs at the University of Texas is that you develop many contacts and an important network that can be very beneficial to you for a long time. The Alumni network helps you stay connected to the University and to opportunities beyond graduation. Recently I became a member of the BBA Alumni Advisory Board which is allowing me to give back to the University and help my fellow Longhorns stay connected which I'm very excited about."

"Not only are a lot of my best friends also alumni of McCombs, but I’ve met a ton of great people through the alumni network. I’m working with a couple of different management teams right now that include McCombs alums, and it gives us plenty to talk about when conversation strays from the business at hand. The McCombs Alumni Network has also given me an avenue to interact with current students – I’ve been an alumni judge at student case competitions and had a chance to speak to finance students in an organization I used to be a part of when I was a student. So for me, I’ve not only gotten the benefit of staying in touch with friends and professional contacts, which can be rewarding for my career, but the network has also allowed me to stay in touch with the school and its students, which is personally rewarding. And of course it’s always nice to be a part of one of the biggest and best alumni networks in the world."

"When I moved to Chicago after graduating, my link back to UT and McCombs was mostly through watching games at UT hangouts in Chicago and MBA/BBA events. I've now joined the BBA/MPA Alumni Advisory Board and it's been awesome to contribute back to the school. In addition to being able to help shape alumni relations, through the Advisory Board I've made a lot of new friends and had a great excuse to get back to Austin (although, who really needs an excuse?). I know I'll continue to take part in McCombs alumni activities because no matter how far I live from Austin or how long I've been out of school I still feel like I'm part of the UT community I loved so much when I was in school."
