Do you want to take care of Business in a single summer session? Then the Business Foundations Summer Institute is your answer.

Take Care of Business

Get your business-savvy at McCombs this summer and become a business leader in your chosen field. Open to all non-business UT students and students enrolled in U.S. and select international colleges and universities, the Institute will give you the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in business. It lets you complete five Business Foundations classes (15 credit hours) in eight weeks. At the end of the program you will receive the Business Foundations Certificate.

In addition to completing the certificate program in a single summer session, you will also benefit from a number of learning opportunities not offered during the normal school year.  The additional benefits include:

  • Class size limited to 50 students
  • Situational leadership and team-building learning in Marketplace and Stock Market simulations. Marketplace is an international business simulation teaching students the impact of dynamic business and product development.
  • Professional development opportunities including:
    • Create compelling resumes and cover letters
    • Give effective presentations
    • Sharpen your interviewing skills in mock interviews
    • Develop successful dining manners through an etiquette luncheon
