The Forty Acres Campaign

Texas ExesAll Forty Acres Scholars will receive funding for:

  • Tuition and mandatory fees
  • Housing and food
  • Books
  • A living stipend
  • Additional funding for enrichment activities, including a service learning project after the freshman year, study abroad and research/internships.

The Forty Acres Scholars Program is a new scholarship created by the Texas Exes to recruit and recognize exceptional students, enriching their lives and nurturing their development as future leaders at The University of Texas at Austin. With a portion of these scholarships dedicated to business honors students, The Forty Acres Scholars Program will give the BHP a competitive advantage in attracting the nation's most talented students.

Creating these scholarships will advance the core purpose of the University: to transform lives for the benefit of society. These students will be encouraged to fully explore their talents and aspirations, understanding that these great opportunities create even greater responsibilities to make the state, nation and world better places. Over the course of their college careers, Forty Acres Scholars will realize their potential using UT's core values as a guide.

The Texas Exes are proud to announce that extremely high-achieving incoming freshmen in 2011 will be the first students eligible to apply for the new Forty Acres Scholarship, a 4-year merit scholarship program for students attending The University of Texas at Austin.
