One-Time Gifts

Gifts to the BHP Annual Fund have the highest degree of immediate impact by providing unrestricted operating support. These gifts are spent immediately (as opposed to endowments), and are often used for academic and professional programming, or to support recruiting efforts for prospective students. The unrestricted nature of these gifts allows the BHP to use your contribution where it is most needed.

  The 40 Acres Scholarship Fund
  Housed with the Texas Exes, BHP students are among the key recipients of this hallmark scholarship program. Recipients of this prestigious award are among the top students in the country. The success of the 40 acres program is a cornerstone in the BHP's ability to continue to recruit the best and brightest.  Give to the 40 Acres Campaign.
  
  The BHP Excellence Fund
  The income from this fund is unrestricted, allowing the Program to use it for a wide range of needs, including scholarships, programming, study abroad funding, and much more. Unlike most other endowed funds, the Excellence Fund allows the Program to spend the principal in times of critical need. This allows the BHP to rely primarily upon the interest of the account while reserving the option of spending a portion of the principal during times of critical need. The Excellence Fund is essential to the long-term health of the Program, especially in the face of declining state funding.  Give to the BHP Alumni Endowed Excellence Fund.
  
  The Make-a-Mark Fund
  Founded by the BHP Class of 2000, Make-a-Mark is a student-driven scholarship fund. Each year BHP seniors campaign to raise money for this fund and are matched by the alumni class that graduated ten years before them. Unlike the 40 Acres Fund, Make-a-Mark is housed with the Business Honors Program, giving the BHP full control over the recipients. Together with the 40 Acres Fund, Make-a-Mark allows the Program to bring the most talented students to the University of Texas.  Learn more about Make-a-Mark.
