MPA Meet the Firms in the End Zone offers the perfect venue for kicking off the spring recruiting season. Professional services firms of all varieties are invited to connect with MPA students in the state-of-the-art facilities at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium.  While the primary student audience for this event will be third-year MPA students who are seeking internships, all MPA students are invited to attend.  The event is smaller than a typical career fair, allowing participants to have more targeted and meaningful interactions. 

In addition to networking with students in a career fair setting, participants also have the option to provide up to two interns or former interns for our Ask an Intern area designated for student-intern interaction.  The intern(s) will be stationed at a tall cocktail table reserved for your organization to answer day-in-the-life type questions.  This option is included with standard registration. 

A light breakfast and lunch will be provided for employer representatives.  The preferred attire is business professional.

Registration: $500
Includes a table for the career fair, a designated cocktail table in the Ask an Intern area, delivery of employer materials from the stadium loading area to table, wi-fi access, continental breakfast, lunch and validated parking for all employer representatives. 

Accessing Your Registration Information
After submitting your registration, you will not be able to edit the information in the system.  You may, however, review your information at any time by following the steps noted below.

• Login to Symplicity.
• Select the Events tab.
• Select Career Fairs.
• Click the Review - Pending or Review - Confirmed button next to MPA Meet the Firms in the End Zone 2012.
• Click the Registration Information tab to see details such as representative information, whether you requested access to electrical outlets and more. 
• Click the Accounting tab to see your invoice and payment status.

Location

The event will be held at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium on the main campus of The University of Texas at Austin. It is located on 23rd St. between San Jacinto Blvd. and Robert Dedman Dr. Enter the stadium through Gate 16 and take the elevator to the 8th Floor.

Parking

All-day parking is available in the San Jacinto Garage during the event. The garage is located at 2401 San Jacinto Boulevard.  Please pull a ticket upon entering the garage and present it at event check-in for validation. 

Unloading Area

If you would like to drop-off your materials before parking, there will be a designated drop off area at the loading dock entrance at the corner of 23rd Street and San Jacinto. Student volunteers will be waiting there to carry your items to your table while you park your car in the San Jacinto Garage.

Shipping Materials

Participants are invited to ship event materials such as giveaway items, signage and literature to the address below beginning on January 12.  Please ensure your company name is clearly indicated on the outside of the boxes.

Return Shipping
To ship items back to your office after the event, please package them for shipping, affix a paid label, and deliver them to the designated receiving area before leaving the stadium.  Packages will be shipped the next business day.

If representatives from your organization would like to access the campus wireless network on the day of the event, please e-mail the following information regarding each user to Nina Maldonado by January 13 so that individual login accounts can be created.

Other Accommodations

There are many reasonably priced hotels and motels in Austin. Special UT rates (usually lower than corporate rates) are often available upon request. Reservations are strongly recommended.
