About the MPA Career Fair

Preferred attire is business casual.
Held before the fall semester begins, the MPA Career Fair provides an opportunity for you to be among the first to recruit traditional and fifth-year MPA students for internships and/or full-time employment. The event is smaller than a typical career fair, as registration is limited to 35 employers. Average student attendance for this event is typically around 120. The size of the event allows participants to have targeted and meaningful interactions. Registered organizations are invited bring company giveaway items, signage and literature to this event. Each organization will be assigned an eight-foot table with cloth and two chairs. Prior to the fair, MPA Career Services will host a brunch meeting to provide information on the incoming class, the latest employment statistics and upcoming recruiting opportunities. Registrants will be the first to access the Fall 2013 MPA Resume Book. The publication will be emailed to the primary contact at each registered organization prior to the MPA Career Fair.

About the MPA Networking Reception
MPA Networking Reception – Thursday, August 22

7-9 p.m. - MPA Networking Reception
Preferred attire is business casual.
When you register for the MPA Career Fair, you also have the opportunity to register for the reception. The MPA Networking Reception serves as an opportunity to connect with students prior to the fair in a format that offers both structured speed networking and open networking. Light refreshments will be served. To keep the focus of the reception on person-to-person interaction, please reserve company giveaway items, signage and literature for the MPA Career Fair the following day.

MPA Networking Reception
Registration: $100 per person
Includes a designated speed networking table, a designated open networking table, refreshments, and validated parking for all employer representatives. Registration for MPA Career Fair is required.

Early Registration (on or before June 30): $700
Regular Registration (after June 30): $750
Includes a table for the career fair, delivery of employer materials from the stadium loading area to table, wi-fi access, breakfast, and validated parking for all employer representatives.

Accessing Your Registration Information
To review your registration information, follow the steps noted below.
- Login to Symplicity
- Select the Events tab
- Select Career Fairs
- Click the Review - Pending or Review - Confirmed button next to MPA Career Fair 2013
- Click the Registration Information tab to see details such as whether you registered for the reception, representative information, whether you requested access to electrical outlets and whether you indicated shipping/handling assistance.
- Click the Accounting tab to see your invoice and payment status
Location & Parking
The MPA Networking Reception will be held in Ballroom C at the AT&T Executive Education and Conference Center on the main campus of The University of Texas at Austin. It is located on the corner of Martin Luther King Blvd. and University Ave. The address is 1900 University Ave., Austin, Texas 78705. Parking is available in the adjacent hotel garage. Please pull a ticket upon entering the garage and present it at event check-in for validation.
The MPA Career Fair will be held at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium on the main campus of The University of Texas at Austin. It is located on 23rd St. between San Jacinto Blvd. and Robert Dedman Dr. Enter the stadium through Gate 16 and proceed to the 8th Floor.
All-day parking is available in the San Jacinto Garage during the event. The garage is located at 2401 San Jacinto Boulevard. Please pull a ticket upon entering the garage and present it at event check-in for validation.
If you would like to drop-off your materials before parking, there will be a designated drop off area at the loading dock entrance at the corner of 23rd Street and San Jacinto. Staff will be waiting there to carry your items to your table while you park your car in the San Jacinto Garage.
Shipping Career Fair Materials
Participants may ship event materials such as giveaway items, signage and literature to the address below beginning on August 13. Please ensure your company name is clearly indicated on the outside of the boxes.

To ship items back to your office after the event, please package them for shipping, affix a paid label, and deliver them to the designated receiving area before leaving the stadium. Packages will be shipped the next business day.
If you plan to return your packages via UPS, you will need to arrange for a pickup using the address above and notify email@example.com
regarding the details of the pickup, including the confirmation number.
If representatives from your organization would like to access the campus wireless network on the day of the event, please e-mail the following information regarding each user to Courtney Crosby by August 13 so that individual login accounts can be created. Please note that, due to technical processes involved with creating wireless access accounts, we will not be able to accommodate requests submitted after the deadline.
