Clemens Sialm is a Professor of Finance and Economics, the Eleanor T. Mosle Fellow, and the Director of the AIM Investment Center at the University of Texas at Austin. He is also a Research Associate in the Asset Pricing and Public Economics programs of the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER).
Sialm received an M.A. in economics from the University of St.Gallen in Switzerland and a Ph.D. in economics from Stanford University. Prior to joining the University of Texas, he taught at Stanford University and the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. During the 2013-2014 academic year, he was the Mark and Sheila Wolfson Distinguished Visiting Associate Professor at the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research.
Sialm's research interests are in the areas of investments, asset pricing, and taxation. He analyzes the investment strategies, performance, and behaviors of institutional and individual investors. He also investigates investment decisions of retirement savers. His research has been published in the American Economic Review, the Journal of Finance, the Review of Financial Studies, Management Science, and the Journal of Public Economics, among others. He obtained in 2011 the Research Excellence Award from the McCombs School of Business. Sialm’s research has been frequently cited in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, and The Economist.

Keith Brown currently holds the position of Allied Bancshares Fellow and Professor of Finance at the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin, where he specializes in teaching Investments, Portfolio Management and Security Analysis, Capital Markets, and Derivatives courses at the MBA and Ph.D. levels. He is also President and Chief Operating Officer of The MBA Investment Fund, L.L.C., a private capital appreciation fund managed by graduate students at the University of Texas.
Keith is the co-founder and Senior Partner of Fulcrum Financial Group, a portfolio management and investment advisory firm located in Austin, Texas and Atlanta, Georgia. Keith currently serves as an advisor to the Board of Trustees of Teacher Retirement System of Texas and as Associate Editor for Financial Analysts Journal and Journal of Psychology and Financial Markets. For five years he held the position of Research Director for the Research Foundation of the Association for Investment Management and Research.
