Amanda Duhon

Amanda Duhon headshotAmanda Duhon is Vice Consul for Energy & Environment with UK Trade & Investment at the British Consulate-General, Houston as part of a larger international energy team. She facilitates collaboration between UK and US industries, identifies key areas of opportunities for UK companies and encourages US investment in the UK in energy and environment including: the power sector (transmission and distribution, generation, and renewable energy technology) and environmental services sectors (land remediation, water treatment, and energy efficiency).

Ms. Duhon joined the International Energy Team at UK Trade & Investment in Houston in September 2010 bringing with her a rich background in business development, policy, and financial services for profit and non-profit entities.

Before joining UKTI, Amanda worked in the legal arena as a senior paralegal and policy analyst for legal firms representing the professional services sectors such as travel & tourism and corporate accounting. Ms. Duhon has also worked as a licensed specialist in mortgage lending.

Amanda earned her BA in International Studies and her MLA in Public Policy and Administration from the University of St. Thomas. She was the recipient of the Pecten Scholarship for International Studies organised by employees of Pectin Chemicals, Inc., a subsidiary of Shell Chemical Co., and a leadership award honouring her role as Founding President of the University of St. Thomas MicroCredit Program including her contributions to the Program’s socio-economic and environmental field study in the Yucatan Peninsula.
