James Yarbrough is the Climate Change Advisor in the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency-Region 6 Multimedia Planning and Permitting Division in Dallas, Texas. He focuses on partnerships that reduce conventional and greenhouse gas pollution emissions, with particular emphasis on energy efficiency-renewable energy opportunities. This includes interaction with associated regulatory programs. Currently he also coordinates climate change communications and priority-setting between the 10 EPA Regional Offices and EPA’s Office of Air and Radiation. Mr. Yarbrough has worked on cooperative air pollution and pollution prevention projects with Mexico, countries in Eastern Europe, India, and the Philippines. Mr. Yarbrough’s academic training is in climatology, and he has bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Georgia.
