renewable team photoThe Energy Management and Innovation Center is establishing a core of energy-specific business curriculum that will guide the education of business and policy leaders in the decades ahead. Approximately 60 MBA students and 100 undergraduate students participated in energy-specific courses, workshops, practicums and/or projects in 2010.

Through practicum and executive education courses, internships and guest lectures, students are exposed to the complex realities facing the energy industry. The Center reaches out to corporate partners and government experts to create a learning environment that reflects actual constraints and available resources.

CleanTech Group

The McCombs CleanTech Group is an MBA student organization whose mission is to promote an economically viable, sustainable, and “intelligent-energy” future, through the support of market and technology innovations in energy efficiency, sustainable development, renewable energy, and emissions abatement. We hope to achieve this goal by:

  • Serving as a hub for networking and information exchange by connecting students with the businesses, investors and industry experts who are driving these innovations.
  • Supporting our members’ professional development by providing access to events and opportunities in this rapidly developing sector of the economy.

Energy Finance Group

The Energy Finance Group has three primary support roles for the specialization in Energy Finance:

  • Provide program support for industry practicums and independent research.
  • Promote the program to prospective students, current students, and industry recruiters.
  • Facilitate interaction between the faculty, students, and industry leaders through professional, social, and academic events.

Texas Energy Forum
