The health care system in the United States will not be able to provide access to high quality care at a reasonable cost for all of its citizens without significant innovations in health care management and in systems for the delivery of care.

In 2009, the McCombs School of Business established the Healthcare Initiative as a university-wide program to build a community of scholarship in the areas of delivery of health services, innovation, and information. The McCombs School of Business offers unique insights in organizational, operations, technology, and financial management. Our intent is to bring our focus in these areas to bear on this important issue.

There are three major thrusts to the current Healthcare Initiative:
