Supporting Education in Entrepreneurship

 Corporate America and Management- Thirteen faculty members of the McCombs School of Business are Herb Kelleher Center Associates.

Wealth Creation and Job Creation - Competitions and other venues across campus support wealth creation processes including technology transfer.

Business Incubation and Acceleration - Enabling students to identify and validate new ventures (bold ventures) through Texas Venture Labs, and providing internships at the Austin Technology Incubator.

Student Groups - Student Entrepreneurship Groups provide direct linkage for improved education and career management.

Entrepreneur-in-Residence - Helping students in their entrepreneurial quests through mentor-ship and teaching.

Supporting Partners in Entrepreneurship

Venture Labs Investment Competitions (formerly Moot Corp) -  Herb Kelleher faculty oversees both global and local competitions for the best student business proposals.

I2P (Idea to Product) Competition - In this annual competitions, students compete for the best Idea-to-Product business proposal for a new technology product.

Texas Venture Labs -  A university-wide initiative to support technology commercialization entrepreneurship and innovation, while providing a unique and directly applicable educational experience for students.


Faculty Publications

Publications of the Herb Kelleher Center faculty present a large body of work to support entrepreneurship education beyond The University of Texas at Austin.

 Austin Technology Incubator (ATI) - ATI, as a laboratory of the IC2 Institute, houses and mentors start-up companies as well as acceleration for existing companies.

 IC2 Institute - The Herb Kelleher Center’s Director, John Sibley Butler, is also Director for UT’s IC2 Institute, conducting research on entrepreneurship and market economies. Six HKC faculty members are IC2 Institute Fellows.
