Harlan Beverly, PhD, Assistant Director of Jon Brumley Texas Venture Labs, is an experienced entrepreneurial executive who has lead marketing, sales, and engineering teams through entire product and company life-cycles. Harlan founded and was CEO of Bigfoot Networks, Inc., and Karmaback, Inc., which were both acquired. Harlan is currently CEO of Key Ingredient, an Austin based startup focused on digital solutions for cooks (Online Recipes). Harlan has received his PhD in Business from the Oklahoma State University and an MBA from UT Austin. He currently lectures at U.T. Austin and St. Edward's University. Ann Whitt, Program Manager of Jon Brumley Texas Venture Labs, has worked with the Program since 1999. She is responsible for program management, special event coordination, board and corporate communications and sponsor relations. She has a BA in Communications from the University of Washington.
Mikaela Berman, Venture Partner since 2015, is in charge of the TVL I practicum course, marketing, student recruiting and TVLIC. Prior to joining TVL, Mikaela completed a Master of Science in Technology Commercialization (MSTC) and has worked extensively in business development, enterprise sales, consulting and healthcare.
Mark Lampton, Venture Partner since 2015, is in charge of TVL II classroom operations, company recruiting, data analytics and reporting. Mark is a 2015 graduate of the full-time MBA program at UT Austin and has served for more than five years as an Army Infantry officer in both troop leading and staff positions.
Ryan McKeeman, Venture Partner since 2016, is the Venture Partner leading TVLIC and Venture Expo, supporting student recruiting, company recruiting, and marketing. Prior to joining TVL, Ryan completed a MS in Architecture from The University of Texas at Austin and has over ten years experience in sustainability consulting. His master's thesis explored the live music venues in Austin from an architectural perspective and he co-founded The Sound Floor in 2015, a blog about Austin music.
