The New Venture Creation (NVC) course introduces concepts and issues involved in evaluating and creating a new business venture. This course will help you go through the important exercises of starting a new venture, including:
- Market validation
- Business model evaluation
- Financial modeling
- Startup pitch and business plan creation
By the end of the course, you will be able to evaluate business opportunities as an entrepreneur or investor for startups and established companies.
Students also have the option to take NVC II the following semester to continue working on their startups. Since 2005, nearly 1,200 students have completed the program. NVC students regularly compete in the Venture Labs Investment Competition.
