The Texas Venture Labs Investment Competition (Texas VLIC) is designed to mimic the real-world process of raising venture capital. Graduate students from the University of Texas present their ideas for new businesses and receive invaluable feedback from entrepreneurs and investors. Many Texas VLIC competitors go on to launch their businesses. Successful competitors have included uShip, Ordoro and Qcue among others.
UT at Austin students can submit their Intent to Compete from February 4, 2016 until April 20, 2016. The Semifinals will be held on Friday, April 29, 2016 from 6 PM until 9 PM. The winners in each of the Semifinals divisions will compete in the Finals on Friday, May 6, 2016 from 9 AM until 12 PM.

A decision of Advance to the Semifinals or Waitlisted will be provided by TVL within five business

| TVL announces teams invited to compete
Student companies will compete for prizes including:

- Austin Technology Incubator Launch Package
- Consulting time with the Directors Jon Brumley Texas Venture Labs
- Opportunity to join TVL in opening the Nasdaq Stock Market
