The Information Management Program, located within the Department of Information, Risk & Operations Management (IROM) continues to receive nationally-recognized high rankings for the Management Information Systems (MIS) BBA and Information Management (IM) MBA concentrations. Both programs have seen significant enrollment increases within the past several years, fueled by a continued growth in demand in the corporate market. In 2011, the number of MIS majors reached 340, with 175 minors in MIS, the highest numbers since 2002. We will continue to market our program to students with greater interactions with the industry, challenging curriculum, and exciting events.

Our Mission

The mission of the highly-ranked McCombs IM Program is developing leaders who can leverage information systems for strategic business value. Graduates from the IM Program learn to successfully implement and manipulate Information Technology, and they understand the strategic, financial and economic implications of IT projects.
