GBTG Technology Conference - Spring 2013

We live in a smart, connected world – one where people, processes, and data around the world are bound together in ways never before imagined. With unparalleled access to information, we are empowered to exchange more ideas and seek further change in our life.

Smart devices are continuously expanding beyond personal computing devices, smart phones and tablets. In its February 2012 Global Mobile Data Traffic Forecast, Cisco predicts over 10 billion mobile-connected devices in 2016, including machine-to-machine (M2M) modules, which would exceed the world's population (7.3 billion). As more and more devices are connected through mobile, sensors, and the Internet, what are the implications on business, policy, and society? What can organizations do to unleash growth and productivity through these devices? How will the enormous data generated transform the way we do business today?

Graduate Business Technology Group is inviting speakers from industry and academia across disciplines for a series of lectures, interactive workshops, and discussion panels on March 22, 2013. We welcome all alumni to join us at the McCombs School of Business to find answers to these questions and learn more on technologies shaping our world.
