W R Knechel is the Director of the International Center for Research in Accounting and Auditing, whose mission is to advance the overall academic and educational goals of the Fisher School of Accounting on an international level. He is also the Frederick Fisher Eminent Scholar Chair at the University of Florida. His research interests include auditing, financial reporting, and factors affecting the scope and timing of audit engagements. In fact, his research regarding audit partner reporting decisions was recently cited in The New York Times.
