In addition to teaching at The University of Texas, Professor Hasler has taught operations and quality management at St. Edward’s University’s MBA program and served as a guest lecturer at The University of Virginia, The University of Michigan and Texas A&M University. At St. Edward’s University, he was twice voted highest rated adjunct professor by MBA students.

A native of the Midwestern US, Professor Hasler grew up in Indiana and Michigan, and has lived and traveled throughout the Great Lakes region. With his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from General Motors Institute (now Kettering University), Professor Hasler spent over twenty years in the auto industry working for a few different companies including General Motors and Nissan as well as owning a company that was part of the auto, defense, and engineering industries. During this time, he attended the University of Virginia as a GM Fellow, where he obtained a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Engineering in Systems Engineering. He completed his Ph.D. at Texas A&M University in 2009.
