Alumni & Friends
From sharing your college experience to passing along tips you learned on being an effective leader in the workplace or community is all important information for academy participants to know. Subiendo aims to connect each class with not only UT alumni, but with community and business leaders who are supportive and believe in encouraging more students to go on to college and become tomorrow’s leaders.
During the Subiendo Academy, table hosts are invited to not only dine with the students to discover what the students are learning, but also to aid the students in developing one’s networking skills.
Interested volunteers should complete the volunteer form and the Subiendo Office will contact you with more information.
UT Students
Subiendo is actively looking for current University of Texas (undergraduate and graduate) students who can mentor academy participants both during the program and beyond. Navigating the final year of high school and applying successfully to college and for scholarship money can be a challenge, but you’ve learned tips you want to share with the next generation. Learn more about engaging with the academy and serving as a team leader during the summer.
UT students can also join the newly launched Subiendo Longhorn Chapter. Now that Subiendo Alumni are on UT’s campus, it’s important for Subiendo to keep that pipeline of engagement going. This registered student group provides members the opportunity to participate in networking events, listen to various speakers, meet new friends, or become a Subiendo Team Leader. Come be a part of this fun group and keep the energy going from the summer!
