Congratulations on your admittance to the McCombs School of Business!  Newly admitted students should follow the steps below to prepare for their first semester at UT-Austin. 

Step One: Register for Classes

• Register for 2-3 business classes in your first semester as a McCombs student.  Be sure that you meet the prerequisites for all coursework.

Step Two: Attend the McCombs Internal Transfer Welcome Session

• Check your email for the invitation to attend the Internal Transfer Welcome Session in August.  Please RSVP by the deadline.

Step Three: Declare your business major  

• Review degree plans for majors in which you are interested.
• Declare your major starting Monday, September 17, 2012.

Step Four: Complete the McCombs Technology Orientation

• Complete the Technology Orientation for the McCombs School of Business in mid-September.

Step Five: Meet with your assigned advisor

• Schedule an appointment with your assigned academic advisor to discuss your future courses.
