Some elective courses are restricted to students in a particular major. Non-business students who have fulfilled the prerequisite requirements for RE 358 and need a waiver for registration should submit their request to William Way, Texas URE Program Advisor. The prerequisite for LEB 363 will be waived for Texas URE students upon request. Waiver requests for Architectural Engineering courses must be submitted online through the Non-CAEE Major Registration Request. Some Architecture courses require consent of the instructor and registration through the School's Academic Advisors. Non-Urban Studies majors must wait until the first class day to register for URB courses. Registration requires coordination with the URB Academic Advisor. Not all requests can be accommodated. Access for registration depends on availability and may also require approval of the department offering the course.
Prerequisite course(s) for non-business students are also available through University Extension. All other program coursework must be completed in residence. Courses completed at other academic institutions, online or abroad cannot be counted toward or in lieu of the program's 18 hours of coursework. Transfer credit for the prerequisite courses will be evaluated on a case by case basis to ensure consistency in the topics covered.
Receiving Your Certificate
In order to receive transcript certification, students must apply for the certificate at the same time they apply for graduation or upon completion of the program, whichever is later. The Texas URE certificate application must be completed separately from your graduation application. Please email email@example.com with certification requests.
