Big BenLondon is one of the top destination cities in the world. This iconic city is the location of Big Ben, the Tower Bridge, Westminster Abby, and Harrods, just to name a few. Whether you are shopping, touring the palaces and museums, or going to the theatre, there is always something to do in London.

The summer Economics program is hosted by the London School of Economics, one of the top research and social sciences universities in the world.

The City of London

Considered the historic heart of London this area boasts the economic and historic heart of the city. All in walking distance are St. Paul’s Cathedral, Leadenhall Market, the Bank of London and the Museum of London. In this area, there is also evidence of the London Wall, originally built in the 2nd Century.

The London Eye

This is the world’s highest observation wheel allowing for panoramic views of London in a 30 minute spin. On a clear day, the view can be up to 25 miles in all directions.

Hyde Park

One of the most widely known parks in the world, it first opened its gates to the public in 1637. In addition to being a wonderful place to study, it is a popular place for swimming, running, rowing and horseback riding. Be sure to check out Speaker’s Corner on Sundays where people stand on soapboxes and discuss their views on world matters.


London has wonderful museums all within its borders. Visit the Victoria and Albert (V&A) Museum to see a collection of over 4,000 years of British, American and European art and design. Visiting the museum is free, so be sure to go back as much as you want. The British Museum has many ancient wonders, including the famed Rosetta Stone, the Elgin (Parthenon) Marbles and Egyptian mummies. The Tate Modern houses an eclectic selection of modern art, and many of the exhibits are also free to the public.
