Choosing a major can be one of the most difficult decisions you make while attending college. Many students worry that they'll make the “wrong choice,” and end up in a job or career path that doesn't make them happy. In reality, very few majors lead to only one specific career path. The skills you gain through coursework, your leadership and extracurricular activities, and your work experiences will often play a larger role in shaping available career opportunities than your major.

Choosing your major requires a considerable amount of self-reflection and research, just like any important decision. BBA Career Services is available to work with you, and help you feel confident in your potential career path. Below, you'll find some helpful tips and resources that you can use when making decisions about your major and eventual career path. As a Texas BBA student, we encourage you to meet with a BBA Career Coach to discuss career goals and industry opportunities.
