Just because you graduated, doesn’t mean you can’t stay involved with BHP. The Business Honors Program relies on alumni to help recruit and select the best students for the program and to support BHP in a number of other ways.
The BHP Advisory Board exists to guide the direction and accomplish the mission of the BHP. In addition, the board will be ambassadors for the program in their communities, support fundraising objectives, and assist with recruiting the top students in the nation to the program. Nominations for the board are reviewed by the executive committee. Nominate yourself or an alumnus you think would be a good fit for the board.
Alumni admissions volunteers play a crucial role in shaping the future of the BHP by interviewing high school seniors seeking admission into the program.
Become an Admissions Interviewer
Sit down for a casual chat with current students to share industry and graduate school insight, career and internship advice, and discuss general life experiences. If you plan to be Austin for recruiting events or you are simply coming back to visit the city and have extra time, we would love to arrange an Alumni Coffee Chat with you. We ask for at least one week notice to set up the event and advertise to students. Contact
Shelley Nix if you are interested in setting up a coffee chat.
If you are interested in helping to connect BHP alumni in your area through social events, contact your Alumni Area Chair. If your area does not have a chair and you are interested in becoming a chair and organizing events in your area, contact Shelley Nix.
If you would like to volunteer or have any suggestions please feel free to e-mail us your questions, comments or suggestions.
