Wills and Living Trusts

When you name the Business Honors Program in your will or living trust, we know that you have included the BHP in a special group of family, friends and organizations that are most important to you.

How It Works

To make a charitable bequest, you need a current will or revocable living trust. Your gift can be made as a percentage of your estate. Or you can make a specific bequest by giving a certain amount of cash, securities or property. After your lifetime, the Business Honors Program receives your gift.

Charitable Bequests

Benefits of a bequest to the Business Honors Program include the satisfaction of providing for the program’s future and the potential for estate tax savings and a lasting gift that can carry your family’s name. We hope you'll consider including a gift to the Business Honors Program in your will or living trust.

This type of gift offers these main benefits:
  • Simplicity. Just a few sentences in your will or trust are all that is needed. We will be happy to work with you and your advisors in suggesting specific language for your gifts to the Business Honors Program.
  • Flexibility. Because you are not actually making a gift until after your lifetime, you can change your mind at any time.
  • Versatility. You can structure the bequest to leave a specific item or amount of money, make the gift contingent on certain events, or leave a percentage of your estate to us.
  • Tax Relief. If your estate is subject to estate tax, your gift is entitled to an estate tax charitable deduction for the gift's full value.
