The IM Advisory council encouraged more interaction between the IM related student groups as well as more leadership and mentoring activities with local organizations, and our student groups took their advice to heart.
- The Graduate Business Technology Group (GBTG) is an MBA student organization at McCombs School of Business, providing educational, career, and networking opportunities for students who are interested in the high-tech sector or business areas that are strategically impacted by information technology.
- The Management Information Systems Association, also knowns as MISA, is a professional, academic, philanthropic and social organization composed of students interested in careers relating to Information Technology.
A joint event between Graduate Business Technology Group (GBTG) and Management Information Systems Association (MISA) will be held with The Austin Area Chapter of the Society for Information Management (SIM) on November 12, 2013 at the Alumni center from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
SIM Austin is organized for the educational purpose of fostering information systems innovation for the improvement of organizational performance, as consistent with the purpose of the Society. The IM community is invited to join this highly interactive session that brings future technology leaders and today’s technology leaders together to debate the technology trends and the future of technology leadership.
