Official Start & End of the Event

The official event starts at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, December 2, 2016 with a welcome reception. The event officially closes at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 3, 2016.

Hotel Accommodations  

AT&T Executive Education & Conference Center Hotel 
1900 University Avenue
Austin, TX 78705

A room block is available at the AT&T Executive Education and Conference Center on the UT Austin campus. To reserve your room at the AT&T Center at our $185/night rate, please visit the booking link and reserve your room by the November 18th deadline. 

The hotel is located directly on campus and is about a five-minute walk from the McCombs School of Business, where the Military Forum events will be held.

 

If you choose not to stay at the AT&T Center, here is a list of other Austin area hotels.

Transportation


The University of Texas at Austin campus is located approximately 12 miles (20-30 minutes) from the Austin Bergstrom International Airport. Taxis are readily available at the airport and will cost about $25 to get from the airport to the UT Austin campus. Taxis are also available at the AT&T Center for transportation back to the airport. Travel and transportation expenses are not covered.

 

Please note: Due to a recent city ordinance, Uber and Lyft are currently unavailable within the Austin city limits.

Driving

There will be no off-campus events during this Military Forum, however, if you prefer to have your own mode of transportation during your stay in Austin, here is a list of  rental car companies at the Austin airport. Please note that the cost of parking is not covered at the AT&T Center and is the responsibility of the guest.

Parking

If you drive to campus and are staying at the AT&T Center, we recommend parking in the AT&T Conference Center Garage, which is located directly underneath the hotel. Overnight guests of the hotel may obtain a parking card at the front desk for garage parking at $18 per night. Valet parking is $15 per visit or $23 overnight, plus tax. 

If you're driving to campus but not staying at the AT&T Center, you can also park in the Brazos Garage, which is located at the corner of Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard and Brazos. Day parking (8 - 24 hours) at Brazos Garage costs $18.

If you can no longer attend the Military Forum, please email TexasMBAAdmissions@mccombs.utexas.edu and let us know as soon as possible so we can offer your spot to another applicant.

Dress Recommendation

Forum session dress is business casual attire. Evening and social events are Austin casual! Austin weather can be unpredictable in the winter, but early-December is generally jacket weather.
