Areas for Support
Students: "Educating the Business Leaders of Tomorrow"
Providing student assistance in the form of scholarships is a McCombs School priority. Our impressive and diverse student body excels academically and is active in numerous organizations.
Student success is our success, and the school supports their efforts in every way possible. With your help, students will have the opportunity to reach their full potential.
Endowments supporting the 40 Acres Scholarship program are a top initiative for Dean Gilligan. They are unique because they provide four years of tuition and supplemental educational support to exceptional students, which helps us attract the best and brightest scholars to the McCombs School.

Faculty: "Recruiting and Retaining Top Scholars"
Faculty Chairs, Professorships, and Fellowships build the reputation of the school and show a strong commitment to academic achievement. They foster a sense of tradition, and reward our best faculty with the tools to become more productive. They provide year-round salary incentives for our most productive faculty, but Chairs and Fellowships also provide for support staff, research assistance, conference travel, and continuing education allowances.
To support the efforts of faculty and help us recruit, retain, and reward the faculty excellence that increases our standing and benefits our constituents, consider supporting one of the following options:
- Endowed Chairs are awarded to deans, department chairs, and superior faculty to enhance their scholarly efforts and research.
- Endowed Professorships are awarded to outstanding faculty members to reward and enhance scholarly efforts.
- Endowed Faculty Fellowships support excellent teaching faculty regardless of rank or tenure, including visiting scholars in residence.
Faculty Excellence Funds are flexible funds dedicated to promoting faculty research, teaching, and continuing education. They can be used to respond quickly to sudden opportunities that may arise, and are a key asset in a rapidly-changing business world. In conjunction with visionary leadership, Excellence Funds ensure we can fulfill our mandate to take the McCombs School to the next level of greatness.

Facility Endowments assure that students and researchers always have access to the latest business technology. These endowments also provide for repair and replacement of damaged furnishings, ensuring appropriately maintained surroundings for our students. These funds support the “behind the scenes” work of the McCombs School, providing for technology infrastructure upgrades as well as enhancements to the public face of the school.
