When deciding whether or not the Texas MBA is right for you, we strongly recommend scheduling a campus visit. Visiting campus can help you get a feel for what it would be like to be a McCombs student as you interact with current students, faculty and staff and experience the UT campus and city of Austin.

Planning Your Visit

We recommend that you plan your campus visit for the time that is most convenient for you - no matter what point in your application process that may be. Campus visits are primarily designed as a tool to help you determine if McCombs is the right fit for you; therefore, those planned after your application is submitted are just as valuable as those that take place during your application preparation. For the most relevant campus experience, we encourage you to avoid planning your visit during times of the year when students are not on campus (i.e. winter break, spring break, summer). The interaction you receive with current students adds significant value to your visit through the class visits they host and stories they can share about their MBA experience to date.

Coffee Chats Around the Country

During the summer and over holiday breaks current Texas MBA students are spanning the country hosting Coffee Chats to share what makes the Texas MBA at McCombs one of the premier MBA programs in the country. These chats are a great opportunity to come out and enjoy a cup of joe while you learn more about the Texas MBA experience from someone currently in the program. More information on Coffee Chats will be available in early summer.

Campus Visits/Attend a Class

Campus/Class visits are offered on Mondays and Thursdays throughout each semester. You can sign up to attend either a morning or afternoon campus visit. Due to space considerations in MBA classes and to maintain available options to our volume of guests, please limit your request to one Campus Visit (either a.m. or p.m.). Spring class visits will run from January 30th until May 3rd; there will be no classes from March 5-16th due to Spring Break. You can maximize your visit experience by combining your Monday/Thursday option with a Friday event. Check the visit calendar for events that accommodate your plans.
