Introducing your Hosts for the Texas MBA at Houston Women's Forum
Nicole Wood, MBA 2013
Nicole Wood is a first-year student in the Texas MBA at Houston program. She is a member of the McCombs Admissions Committee, Bevo Capital Investment Club, Women’s Energy Network of Houston, Idylwood Garden Club, and serves as the communications director for Chevron’s Boomers Network. With the inaugural Texas Women’s Forum in Houston, Nicole hopes to increase awareness and interest for the Texas MBA for women in the area. She encourages more women to apply and become part of the great legacy of Texas MBAs. Nicole majored in Marketing during her undergraduate studies at University of Houston-Clear Lake. She has worked in the energy industry for over 10 years, focusing on trading and logistics. She currently manages the logistics team for Chevron Natural Gas trading in the U.S. Post-MBA Nicole hopes to pursue an international assignment in natural gas commercialization focusing on global LNG trading.
Gina Whitfield, MBA 2013
Gina Whitfield is a first-year student in the Texas MBA at Houston program. She is a member of the McCombs Admissions Committee and Graduate Business Council. She loves planning events and is looking forward to a successful women’s event. While pursing her MBA, she is working as a capital project engineer in the Asset Integrity Group at Sunoco Logistics in Sugar Land, Texas. Gina has worked for Sunoco for nearly seven years in several different engineering roles and business units, and looks forward to an exciting career with them upon graduation from UT. While working for Sunoco, she has lived in New Jersey, Florida and Pennsylvania, and was relocated to Houston two years ago. Gina majored in Mechanical Engineering at Lehigh University and after graduation has stayed very active as an alumna. She currently serves on the Lehigh University Alumni Association Board of Directors, the Young Alumni Council, the Alumni Admissions Outreach Committee and the Lehigh Club of Houston. Gina is married to Pierce Whitfield and currently resides in the West University neighborhood in Houston.
