Admission to the MPA program at The University of Texas at Austin is competitive. We seek motivated students whose records reflect a balance of academic ability, communication skills and quantitative skills. 

In the application review, the admissions committee assesses an individual's potential for academic success and future professional growth. Both quantitative and qualitative aspects of an application are considered, including grade point average, test scores, statement of purpose essay, letters of recommendation, extracurricular and community activities, honors and achievements, and work history.  The committee considers all information supplied within the application as well as any applicant communications with the MPA staff and Department of Accounting faculty. Overall diversity within the MPA program is also important, and entering classes are formed with this in mind.
