The Master of Science in Technology Commercialization (MSTC) Program prepares graduates to launch technology innovations successfully into the marketplace. It includes ten highly integrated courses progressing from the early stages of new technology assessment and development through the launch of new products or ventures.
MSTC graduates have the knowledge, skills, and abilities to:
• Estimate the market potential of new technologies
• Specify which attributes and benefits of a new technology should be included in new products
• Write and present the case for funding high potential technologies
• Develop a plan for launching new, technology-based products into the market.
As a result, MSTC graduates operate in both the technology commercialization space and related areas that rely on these skills and abilities. Some corporations have technology commercialization departments and others use different descriptions for these functions. Job titles of previous graduates are listed in four major categories below. Our students have a broad range of work experience, so students will be seeking employment at all levels of the organization.
