Situated in the center of downtown, The University of Texas at Austin enrolls approximately 48,000 students, of whom more than 10,000 are graduate students. UT Austin has 1,108 endowed faculty positions, the highest number among major public research institutions in the United States. These endowed faculty positions consist of 216 chairs, 474 professorships and 418 faculty fellowships and lectureships.
