Violina Rindova was selected for the 2012 Award for Scholarly Contribution by Strategic Organization for her 2007 article, "Standing Out: How New Firms in Emerging Markets Build Reputation" (with Petkova and Kotha); the award recognizes authors who have made exceptional contributions to the field by selecting the most outstanding article (and essay) that was published in SO five years earlier. Jonathan Cohn, Erin Towery, and Lillian Mills were selected for the Charles River Associates Award for the Best Paper on Corporate Finance by Western Finance Association for their 2011 paper, "The Evolution of Capital Structure and Operating Performance After Leveraged Buyouts: Evidence from U.S. Corporate Tax Returns."
