Adeola Taiwo

Adeola is a member of the MBA Class of 2014 concentrating in Finance and Operations. She is vice president of Communications for Sigma Fellows and co-vice president of the Women in Business Leadership Conference for the Graduate Women in Business Club. Adeola is also a member of the Graduate Operations Group and Graduate Business Wine Club.

Prior to attending McCombs, Adeola worked as a budget administrator for the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority in Boston, Massachusetts. There, she designed and implemented the current accounting, finance and grant management system for growing start-up department, while efficiently managing the Homeland Security budget of the transit authority. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Lagos in her home country of Nigeria.

Alana Marcum

Alana Marcum is a member of the MBA Class of 2014. Alana is concentrating in Supply Chain and Operations Management and has a strong interest in Corporate Sustainability. In addition to Sigma Fellows, Alana was selected as a member of Board Fellows. She is also vice president of events for Net Impact, and is a member of Graduate Operations Group and Graduate Women in Business. Prior to attending McCombs School of Business, Alana worked in sales management for Disc Makers, an independent CD and DVD manufacturer. Originally from Michigan, she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Advertising from Michigan State University.

Brian Pedersen

Brian is a member of the MBA Class of 2014 concentrating in Information Management and Operations. He is a member of the Sigma Fellows External Relations Committee, Graduate Operations Group and Armed Forces Alumni Organization. Prior to attending McCombs, Brian served in numerous operational and logistical roles in the United States Army. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from California Polytechnic State University - San Luis Obispo. He is originally from the California Bay Area.

Carolyn Kenny

Carolyn is a member of the MBA Class of 2014 concentrating in Healthcare. She is the vice president of external relations for Sigma Fellows and a board fellow for the Mothers’ Milk Bank at Austin, in addition to being the MBA Healthcare Association president and a Consortium for Graduate Study in Management fellow. Prior to attending McCombs, Carolyn worked as an information technology consultant for Deloitte in Sacramento, California. There, she worked on the functional team for a multi-million dollar custom software application to automate disability insurance claim processing. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering from Arizona State University and is originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Diego Gonzalez

Diego is a member of the MBA Class of 2014 concentrating in Operations and Supply Chain Management. He is vice president of Programming for Sigma Fellows and vice president of Internal for both the Latin and Hispanic MBA's and the Mexican Graduate Association, in addition to being a member in the Graduate Consulting Group and Graduate Operations Group. Prior to attending McCombs, Diego worked as general manager for Quiminova, his start-up located in Monterrey, Mexico. There, he developed the company to gain nation-wide recognition while focusing on the optimization of the supply chain and the production processes. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Monterrey Tech and is originally from Mexico.

Jenny Larsen

Jenny is a member of the MBA Class of 2014 concentrating in Information Management and Global Business. She is on the External Relations Committee of Sigma Fellows and co-president of Graduate Wine club, in addition to being a member in the Graduate Business Technology Group and the McCombs Admission Committee. Prior to attending McCombs, Jenny worked as a Technology Consultant for Deloitte Consulting in Washington, D.C. There she implemented large scale financial reporting solutions for federal government clients, worked with open sources technologies to develop new tools for managing projects. She earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Computer Information Systems and Management from James Madison University and is originally from Long Island, New York.

Kasi Alagappan

Kasi is a member of the MBA Class of 2014. He is the member of the Recruiting Committee in Sigma fellows and vice president of the Graduate Business Technology Group, in addition to being a member in the Graduate Operations Group and Graduate Marketing Network. Prior to attending McCombs, Kasi worked in the technology consulting industry for seven years and was based out of Los Angeles, CA. He built business cases and improved the business processes for several strategic projects for multiple clients, including 3 hi-tech firms, a large market research company and an entertainment company. Kasi is originally from India, where he earned his Bachelor's degree in Production Engineering.

Kirk Pilliner

Kirk is a member of the MBA Class of 2014 concentrating in Corporate Finance and Operations. He is vice president of recruiting of Sigma Fellows, president of the Graduate Finance Association, and vice president of finance for the Black Graduate Business Association. Kirk is also a member in the Graduate Business Technology Group and Graduate Operations Group. Prior to attending McCombs, Kirk worked as a senior hardware engineer for Intel Corporation in the company's Austin, TX office. There, he worked on smartphone development and low-power processor validation. Kirk earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Master of Engineering in Electrical & Computer Engineering from the University of Florida. He is originally from north-central Florida.

Nisha Pattan

Nisha is a member of the MBA class of 2014 concentrating in Information Management and Operations. In addition to the Sigma fellows, she is a member of the Graduate Technology Group and Graduate Marketing Group. Prior to attending McCombs, Nisha worked as a consultant for Deloitte. She was responsible for data conversion for Oracle ERP implementations at Fortune 500 companies, report development, database management and strategic consulting including process improvement to enable efficient operations and cost reduction. She earned a Bachelor of Engineering from University of Pune, India.

Shelly Tom

Shelly is a member of the MBA Class of 2014 concentrating in Healthcare. She is vice president of operations for Sigma Fellows, co-president for the Graduate Women in Business and vice president of Austin Community for the MBA Healthcare Association. Prior to attending McCombs, Shelly worked as a management consultant for Freed & Associates, a healthcare consulting firm in San Francisco. There, she managed the implementation of an electronic medical record system for a large community hospital, restructured the issues database to increase communication among project managers, and developed standard operating procedures to ensure adherence to hospital governance structures. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Community Health from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and is originally from Chicago.

Shivi Thanapal

Shivi is a member of the MBA Class of 2014 concentrating in Supply Chain Management and Operations. She is co-vice president of the Women in Business Leadership Conference for the Graduate Women in Business Club, in addition to being a member in the McCombs Admissions Committee and Graduate Operations Group. Prior to attending McCombs, Shivi worked as a technology consultant with Infosys, a fortune 500 company where she managed IT projects end to end, taking the project through the various stages of project life cycle efficiently. She earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering.

Vic Pedregon

Vic is a member of the MBA Class of 2014 concentrating on Operations and Information Management. He is president of the Sigma Fellows and vice president of Supply Chain Management Center Relations of the Graduate Operations Group, as well as a member of the McCombs Admissions Committee, the Armed Forces Alumni Association and the CleanTech Group. Prior to attending McCombs, Vic was a helicopter pilot in the US Army. He was stationed in locations around the world in various levels of leadership. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point and is originally from El Paso, Texas.
