Network Using the New BBA Alumni Directory

The new searchable on-line alumni directory went live on July 9! If you have not had a chance to review your information, please go to the MOR Website to update it. If you do NOT wish to be included in the on-line directory, please go to the MOR Website to remove your information.

Tasty Tradition and UT Football

You are invited to the 2001 McCombs School of Business Annual Alumni/Parents’ Day Barbecue on Saturday, September 29, two hours before the UT vs. Texas Tech football game. Register on-line beginning August 15.

Management Professor Janice M. Beyer Passes Away

Janice M. Beyer, a distinguished business researcher and the McCombs Harkins & Company Centennial Chair in Business, passed away on June 20, 2001. For more information, see the press release on Janice Beyer.

Donors Build on Success of Business Ethics Program (BEP)

Business ethics are critically important in today’s business world, and the McCombs School is ready to help develop these skills in its students. With the help of donors like Dr. Bob and Ann Pratt of Rye, New York and Charlie and Mary Teeple of Austin, the campaign to create an endowment for the BEP is now underway. Business Honors Program Students Make a Mark

The BHP Class of 2001 pledged $8,725 during the Make a Mark Campaign. The funds will be used to establish an endowed scholarship to be awarded to a Business Honors Program student. Additional gifts from parents of students and a challenge gift from Rick Relyea bring the grand total to more than $22,000. Rick received his undergraduate engineering degree from UT in 1970, and returned to complete the Option II MBA degree in 1983. He is currently an independent investor.
