Herb Kelleher Center for Entrepreneurship Launches Working Paper Series

Faculty and staff of the Herb Kelleher Center for Entrepreneurship have completed its inaugural series of working papers, which will be a regular initiative of the Center and will highlight the latest research in the emerging discipline of entrepreneurship. Business Honors Program (BHP) Students Recognized by Parents’ Association

The Office of the Vice President of Student Affairs along with the Parents’ Association recently announced the six finalists for the Outstanding Student Award at The University of Texas. Remarkably, of the six finalists for the entire student body, four are BHP students. Go to BHP News for more information.

McCombs School Inducts Newest Hall of Fame Members

The McCombs School inducted The Honorable Linnet F. Deily, The Honorable Donald L. Evans, and Mr. Jeffrey Heller into the prestigious Hall of Fame during a ceremony on November 8. Read the press release. See photos from the event.

Goldman Sachs Gift Helps Fund MIS NetLab

Goldman Sachs donated funds to the MSIS Department to support two MIS NetLab teaching assistants. Teaching Assistants maintain software and hardware, design lab tutorials, and help students with tutorial exercises. Learn more about the MIS NetLab.

Aggies Take First Place in International Challenge (IBC)

The undergraduate student team from Texas A&M officially won the 2002 International Business Challenge (IBC), which concluded October 18 at the McCombs School and was sponsored by the school’s Undergraduate Management Consulting Association. Read the press release.

Glamour Magazine Recognizes Business Honors Program (BHP) Student and Alumnae

Glamour magazine recently named BHP Senior Christina Fu as one of its 2002 College Women of the Year. Go to BHP News for more information. In another issue, the magazine named BHP graduate Sherron Watkins (BBA ’81) one of the magazine’s Women of the Year for her role in bringing to light accounting inaccuracies at Enron. McCombs Offers Executive MBA at D/FW

The Texas Executive Education MBA Program at Dallas/Fort Worth is an innovative two-year program allowing academically qualified executives to pursue the MBA degree while continuing their regular job responsibilities.
