We welcome your comments and suggestions for future editions. Professor Emeritus of Accounting Dr. Zlatkovich Passes Away Dr. Charles Zlatkovich, known affectionately as “Dr. Z,” died on February 7. McCombs Alumna and Enron “Whistleblower” Sherron Watkins Speaks to Students Sherron Watkins and experts from Wall Street, securities law, and philosophy spoke at an ethics symposium for McCombs School business honors students about the ethical challenges students will face when they become business leaders. McCombs School Creates Hermes Society Donor Wall A permanent recognition wall has been created to prominently honor donors who have made considerable lifetime contributions and leadership level annual gifts. Texas Grad Gets Top National CPA Score John McInnis, a May 2002 McCombs PPA program graduate, scored four grades of 99—the highest score possible—on his Certified Public Accountants licensing examination. McCombs Student is First UT Student and State Resident to Win Mitchell Scholarship Alexandra Chirinos, a senior in the Business Honors Program, has been selected as one of eleven George Mitchell scholars. Launched in 1998, the Mitchell Scholarship identifies outstanding young Americans who exhibit the qualities of academic excellence, leadership, and community service. Read more. MIS BBA Program Launches First-Ever Case Challenge on February 22, 2003 Teams of four BBAs, in mixed majors with at least two MIS students, will write a business plan and technical documents for a cutting-edge technology-related product or service and present to a panel of industry judges.
