Undergraduate Program Retains Top Five Ranking for Third Straight Year According to the September 2001 issue of U.S. News & World Report, the undergraduate program ranks among the top five public and private business schools in the nation. Public Accounting Report Ranks MPA/PPA #1 Public Accounting Report hails the McCombs School of Business’ sweep on this year’s ranking for accounting education, rating both graduate and undergraduate programs number one. See the press release. BBA Incoming Freshman have Impressive Credentials The 2001 Fall Freshman averaged in the top 3.8% of their high school class rankings. See the Fall 2001 Freshman Profile. Hispanic Business Says McCombs School is Best School for Hispanics In an annual survey from Hispanic Business magazine, the McCombs School ranked #1 for Hispanic graduate business students, a rise of two places from our #3 ranking last year. MIS Program Founder and Professor Eleanor Jordan to Retire in May 2002 Professor Eleanor Jordan, MIS BBA Area Chair, will retire in May 2002, after completing 28 years of service to the MSIS Department. The MIS Steering Committee will celebrate her career with a dinner in June 2002. If you are interested in attending, contact Elota Patton. Give to the Byars/Jordan Endowment. Leader and Long-Time Finance Professor Conrad Doenges Passes Away R. Conrad Doenges, professor emeritus and former associate dean, passed away following a lengthy illness. His distinguished career spanned 35 years and influenced thousands of students. For more information, go to the press release. The family is establishing an endowment fund in his honor. View photo gallery. Save the Date for Class of 1977 25-Year Reunion! The Class of 1977 is invited to a 25-Year Reunion on March 1-2, 2002. Activities will be held at the McCombs School as well as campus-wide. For information, go to Texas Exes Events. Come One, Come All: Explore UT to be Held on March 2, 2002 This third annual campus-wide open house draws thousand of visitors from all over Texas. Each UT college showcases what it does best through a variety of fun and educational activities. The McCombs School features a stock-market trading game in the EDS Trading Center, career panels and information sessions for prospective students, and other business-related games and presentations.
