McCombs School Announces 2003 Hall of Fame Inductees

The McCombs School will induct Ernest H. Cockrell (BES 67, MBA 70), Kenneth M. Jastrow, II (BBA 69, MBA 71), and Charles W. Tate (BBA 68) into its prestigious Hall of Fame during a ceremony on November 14.  Learn more about the inductees and the McCombs Hall of Fame or nominate a worthy individual for next year’s award.

McCombs School Welcomes BBA Class of 2007

Salbu Wins National Award for Faculty Excellence

At the convention of the Academy of Legal Studies in Business this August, the Academy presented McCombs associate dean and professor Steve Salbu with the 2003 Senior Faculty Award of Excellence, a national distinction based on recommendations from peers around the country. In citing Salbu, the academy noted his combination of excellence in teaching, research, academic service, and mentorship. Read more.

Business School Raises $6,000 for Alex Dierking

When is a 1,000 percent markup celebrated? When it goes for a good cause. On September 9, a $20 Tiffany’s Treats gift certificate brought in $200 at a bake sale for Alex Dierking, the seven-year-old son of McCombs management professor Doug Dierking. The bake sale raised more than $6,000 for Alex, who has been battling an aggressive form of leukemia since May and recently underwent a bone marrow transplant. Read more.
